Overview
Yelan's burst creates Exquisite Throw that follows active character attacks with Hydro damage. Her ascension buffs party DMG based on max HP. She scales with HP% and CRIT, similar stat profile to Hu Tao but as off-field support.
How to Play
Cast skill for particles and mark, then burst and swap off-field. Exquisite Throw procs on active character normal attacks. Use with Hu Tao, Yoimiya, or any fast attacker. C1 allows double skill for smoother energy.
Optimal Rotation
Yelan Skill, Yelan Burst, swap to DPS, DPS attacks trigger Exquisite Throw, refresh when burst ends. In Hu Tao teams: Xingqiu Burst, Yelan Skill/Burst, Zhongli, Hu Tao rotation.
F2P Options
Sacrificial Bow or Fading Twilight work for ER. Emblem 4pc with HP% sands. C0 Yelan is a significant upgrade over Xingqiu in AoE but both work in Hu Tao teams together.
Common Mistakes
Building ATK% over HP% reduces damage and buff values. Not pairing with characters who attack frequently, Exquisite Throw needs attack triggers. Too little ER for burst uptime. Using Yelan alone with Hu Tao without Xingqiu can apply Wet at wrong times.
